St Peter’s Church Formby L37 7DL are hosting the Women’s Voices Conference with Reverend Liz Shercliff, founder of the Women’s Voices Conferences. Bishop Ruth, Interim Bishop of Liverpool is opening the conference and is a keynote speaker. Everyone is invited, women and men.
As we begin the second quarter of the twenty-first century, how are women experiencing faith in the Church and what might we learn from Bible women? Combining academic rigour with reflective practice and rigorous honesty, this is a day for all concerned with being and encouraging Christian women. With Rt Rev’d Ruth Worsley, Bishop of Liverpool, Rev’d Martine Oborne, Chair of WATCH (Women and the Church), Rev’d Jenni Beaumont, Bishop’s Advisor on women in ministry, and Rev’d Canon Dr Liz Shercliff, Founder of Women’s Voices and academic tutor Luther King Theological College.
