Bishop John and the Vocations team were delighted to host a Lifecall event on Monday evening at St James House. We had a really exciting response as thirty people from across the Diocese gathered together to explore a calling to ministry. Together we heard stories from a range of our roles including a Local Missional Leader, a Reader, a Chaplain and a variety of ordained roles. There was time for conversation where we heard people’s enthusiasm at the variety of vocational opportunities that are possible. Please do join us as we pray for all these people as they continue to discern God’s call on their lives and step further into who God is calling them to be.
One of the attendees, John, gave this feedback;
“An inspiring evening, highlighting the variety of ministries and pathways possible for those who feel called to service in the local church. It was so helpful to hear personal testimonies from a diverse group of people called to different roles. A message running through the evening: ‘God doesn’t call the equipped, he equips the called.”
If you couldn’t make it to the event. Don’t worry, we signposted a variety of attendees to our next Directions course starting in September. Are you wondering how God is asking you to serve Him in the next season of your life? This course is for any Christian disciple who would like to join with others exploring this question.
