The Mission Planning and Review (MPR) process is designed to prioritise our diocesan growth aspiration, based on appreciative enquiry and a commitment to building on the very best of what each parish offers in terms of practice, people, hopes, and vision.
It is a four-year process for all parishes and focuses on the following elements:
- Cultivate: mission and discipleship planning
- Generous Disciples: growing and maturing the giving base
- New Income: stewarding our buildings and other assets
We have a dedicated team to support churches across the three MPR streams. They will work with your chosen parish team to review and develop action plans as you journey through the process. The whole process is designed to support churches in both missional and financial growth over four years.
The MPR process is being launched in cohorts, in line with the Fit for Mission schedule:
- Cohort 1: starting 2025
- Cohort 2: starting 2026
- Cohort 3: starting 2027/28
The timeline below highlights a typical schedule for one full year of engagement with a church.
