Congratulations to new priest Adeyinka
On Saturday 28th September at 11am, Revd Adeyinka Olushonde was ordained Priest by Bishop Geoff Pearson in a joyful service at All Saints Childwall. In the service Bishop Geoff challenged Adeyinka, and all in attendance, with the fruit-bearing metaphor of the vine in the fifteenth chapter of John’s gospel. So many people worked together to make this such a special occassion, including a band, the church choir and a gospel choir, whose musical contributions lifted the joy-filled atmosphere even higher!
The following day, Adeyinka presided at his first Service of Holy Communion and was then interviewed by All Saints youth at the all-age service that followed. The church family and guests then enjoyed a celebratory lunch in the church hall. Adeyinka will continue to serve his curacy at All Saints and is looking forward this new chapter in his ministry.
