Freedom Ambassadors Network Launch

Posted on

We are excited to launch our new network for anti-modern slavery ambassadors across our churches- Freedom Ambassadors.

Are you passionate about building a fair and just society? Would you like to learn more about modern slavery and become an awareness-raising advocate in your community?

Join us in becoming a Freedom Ambassador. Being a Freedom Ambassador is a flexible and voluntary commitment. We are looking to form a network of people throughout our churches and worshipping communities who will be:

  • Able to receive some free training in antislavery, trafficking, and exploitation issues.
  • Trained to spot the signs of slavery and know where and how to report concerns.
  • Willing (with support) to run an occasional activity on antislavery in your church.
  • Be able to receive information and to cascade this via church newsletters, leaflets, posters to your church and community.
  • Be part of our campaign to raise awareness of modern slavery with the approval of your incumbent and PCC – Help to shape our work as we work together in partnership
  • Most of all be passionate about ending slavery, trafficking, and exploitation in their community

Does this sound like you? Then please sign up to one of our Freedom Ambassador recruitment sessions where you will be trained in modern slavery awareness and inducted into the role.

Upcoming available sessions are 13th of July in person at St. James House 2-4pm 16th July on Zoom 6:30-8:30 pm
