We are delighted to announce the relaunch of our stewardship programme and resource website, Giving in Grace.
Giving in Grace is designed to encourage, inspire and resource your church in its stewardship ministry. It will help maintain our churches, sustain our ministry and mission, grow generous disciples of all ages and help our churches become communities of generosity.
First launched in 2005 and distributed by CD Rom (!) and updated in 2013 the website has now had a much needed and long-awaited refresh to support the changing needs of parishes.
What’s New?
- A fresh, visual site with simplified navigation: The feel of the site is very different. We’ve simplified the programme into four steps, now it’s easier to get started with your preparation and planning.
- A new, powerful and simple budgeting tool: ‘Know your numbers’ better than ever so you can make wise stewardship decisions based on good data. We’ve replaced the old guidance documents with new video guides.
- Expanded and refreshed preaching materials: You will find brand new sermon notes, sample sermons, preaching ideas, all age activities and bible studies exploring generous discipleship in a range of Bible passages, with more resources to come later this year.
- Short and accessible blogs: We’ve condensed many of the old guidance documents into easy-to-read blogs, updated the optional ‘long reads’ and reduced the number of documents.
- Additional resources: We’ve flagged up home grown and other stewardship resources in a separate Resource section
Not standing still
The website will continue to grow with new and updated content available to you. Next up: bible studies on Ruth, Luke and Exodus.
And watch for a step-by-step guide for working through Giving in Grace on Cornerstone – a new and innovative Church of England portal for viewing your financial data, pathways through good stewardship practice and a handy database of nearly 1000 grant making trusts..
