This Black History Month, the congregation of St Bride’s, in collaboration with the Diocese of Liverpool Racial Justice Team and Mooncup Theatre, invite you to a powerful evening of reflection, performance, and community.
Ceremonies of Truth is a unique creative response to the church’s historical links with the transatlantic slave trade. Through performance and storytelling we will confront difficult truths about our past while exploring how we can shape a more just and hopeful future together.
This special performance is part of the Diocese of Liverpool’s Slavery Truth Project, which seeks to confront the slaving history of the Church whilst opening a space for healing, understanding, and change.
