Every church in the Diocese of Liverpool submitted their Statistics for Mission in a timely fashion, meaning that we have the best possible up-to-date data for our churches. We specifically thank those Churchwardens, Sidespeople, Vergers, Administrators and other Church Officers whose responsibility it is to collect and return this data. Your efforts make a huge difference and help inform both the National Church, the Diocese of Liverpool and your church leadership team of the missional health and growth of your church across the year.
Your data doesn’t disappear into a spreadsheet never to be seen again… You can view your data for last year and previous years on the Online Parish Returns Website: https://parishreturns.churchofengland.org/
It is also accessed regularly by leaders in the diocese and from the National Church to help build a picture of the Christian presence in every community. (It is also key to our Diocesan Improvement Programme that each church provides the data required to make important strategic decisions.) Filling in your Statistics Return is part of this picture. Thank you so much to every church and parish for their efforts this year.
Filling in the Statistics for Mission return at the end of the year can be time consuming, that’s why we promote the use of the Service Register App:
- Instead of sending in Service by Service/Quarterly Attendance returns, you can simply enter your attendance data into the app (on a mobile phone or computer). You can then ‘Upload’ that data which pre-populates most of your Statistics for Mission return throughout the year!
- The app is easy to use, shows your live attendance data in graphs, helps track growth week-to-week
- Record attendance for your other Worshipping Communities, life events, etc.
- Diocese Teams are available to help you with setting it up quickly and efficiently!
