Our youth pilgrimage group from the Diocese of Liverpool arrived safely in Washington D.C. late on Sunday 29th June, beginning this amazing faith based journey alongside our friends from Ghana and Virginia.
They began the day in prayer, with a message from Bishop Ruth. It was a touching moment as they reflected on their Ghanaian friends in prayer who were sadly unable to join them in person due to last-minute circumstances.
Though apart physically, they remain deeply present in spirit. They’re staying connected virtually and holding them close in their hearts. This pilgrimage is happening because of their encouragement and belief in its importance .
There are 15 members of the Liverpool group, and 45 pilgrims in total, including their Ghanaian and Virginian companions .
