We are sharing the news that Rev Canon Stuart Haynes, who has been part of the Diocesan team at St James’ House for over 17 years, is leaving his role to pursue his vocation in full time ordained Ministry.
Stuart has steadfastly served the Diocese and Cathedral in various roles, including as Director of Communications, Director of Property & Estates and Assistant Diocesan Secretary. Stuart goes with our best wishes for all that he has contributed – we shall be saying a big thank you and farewell to him at the end of December.
Stuart says “I have had a magnificent 17 years and to employ a cliché it has been a roller coaster of emotions at times. However, I feel that I have achieved all that I can in my current roles so it is time to seek new adventures and challenges. Quite what they are at the moment I am not fully certain however I have had the words of Jeremiah 29:11 in my heart and I know God has something planned. I have always said what a fantastic team we have at the cathedral and diocese and I will miss the laughs, the fun, the pulling together and the comradeship. I will pray for you all and ask for God’s blessings on the plans you have and the journeys you are taking.”
Please join us in praying for Stuart as he prepares to embark on this important new chapter in pursuit of his vocation.
