2025 Micah Lecture

What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” – Micah 6:8

We’re pleased to invite you to the 12th Annual Micah Lecture, hosted at Liverpool Cathedral:

From Charity to Solidarity: A Radical Return to True Christian Justice

This inspiring lecture takes place on Thursday 19 June 2025, 7:00–9:00pm (Doors open at 6:45pm) at the Liverpool Cathedral.

This year, we welcome Jenny Sinclair, Founder of Together for the Common Good, who will explore how the Church must respond to growing poverty and social fragmentation. Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, she challenges us to reflect on the true vocation of the Church in today’s world.
Forty years after Faith in the City, this is a powerful moment to ask: What has the Church learned? Whose side is it really on?

The Micah Lecture is organised by Liverpool Cathedral on behalf of Micah Liverpool, in partnership with the Diocese of Liverpool and Together Liverpool. Each year, we bring leading voices to engage with the Church’s call to justice and action for the common good.

 Free entry – all welcome.
