DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKINGS FOR THIS COURSE CLOSE ON THE 27th OCTOBER 2025 \nCourse Outline \nThis course is delivered via zoom and will help you to understand: \n\nhow safeguarding concerns can be prevented within their context\nhow healthy culture\, safe and effective leadership shape Christian communities that are healthy\, safe and have the capacity to deliver high quality safeguarding practices\nrecognise when risk management and processes are required\, understanding when\, why and how they must be utilised\nunderstand more of the impact that abuse and trauma have on individual lives’\, relationships\, and interactions in a community setting\, leading to better responses to victims and survivors\nevaluate their learning and translate this into an individual plan of action that will improve their safeguarding practice and responses\n\nTo pass the course and be issued with a certificate you must complete all of the following components: \n\nRead through the participant’s workbook\, complete and submit the preparation for session 1\, seven days before the course commences. This involves completing answers to questions 1\, 2 and 3.\n\n\nAttend two 2 hour sessions held two weeks apart\n\n\nBetween sessions complete the session 2 preparations\n\n\nComplete the required evaluation tasks (details of these are included in the participants handbook) which need to be submitted no later than six weeks after the second session\, to enable the Certificate of Attendance to be issued.\n\nPlease note you should also complete or have completed the online basic & foundation safeguarding training\, which can be accessed via the Church of England training portal: https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org/ prior to attending Leadership Training as this session very much presumes you have completed both these courses. \nPlaces are limited so please book early. DESCRIPTION:Join Liverpool Cathedral on Tuesday 11 November as we pause to remember all those who have given their lives in the cause of freedom. \nTwo short Acts of Remembrance will take place at 11:00 am: \n\n\nOne inside the Cathedral\, led from the Ambulatory. \n\n\nOne outside the main West Doors\, beside the military graves and memorials. \n\n\nWe will gather from 10:55 am\, with both commemorations concluding by 11:05 am. \nAll are warmly welcome to take part in this moment of reflection as we honour those who served in the Armed Forces\, Merchant fleets\, and among the civilian casualties of war\, and pray for those who continue to risk their lives today to bring peace and humanitarian aid to our world.

DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKINGS FOR THIS COURSE CLOSE ON THE 27th OCTOBER 2025 \nCourse Outline \nThis course is delivered via zoom and will help you to understand: \n\nhow safeguarding concerns can be prevented within their context\nhow healthy culture\, safe and effective leadership shape Christian communities that are healthy\, safe and have the capacity to deliver high quality safeguarding practices\nrecognise when risk management and processes are required\, understanding when\, why and how they must be utilised\nunderstand more of the impact that abuse and trauma have on individual lives’\, relationships\, and interactions in a community setting\, leading to better responses to victims and survivors\nevaluate their learning and translate this into an individual plan of action that will improve their safeguarding practice and responses\n\nTo pass the course and be issued with a certificate you must complete all of the following components: \n\nRead through the participant’s workbook\, complete and submit the preparation for session 1\, seven days before the course commences. This involves completing answers to questions 1\, 2 and 3.\n\n\nAttend two 2 hour sessions held two weeks apart\n\n\nBetween sessions complete the session 2 preparations\n\n\nComplete the required evaluation tasks (details of these are included in the participants handbook) which need to be submitted no later than six weeks after the second session\, to enable the Certificate of Attendance to be issued.\n\nPlease note you should also complete or have completed the online basic & foundation safeguarding training\, which can be accessed via the Church of England training portal: https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org/ prior to attending Leadership Training as this session very much presumes you have completed both these courses. \nPlaces are limited so please book early.
